Low Net - This is standard stroke play. A golfer’s total number of strokes (gross
score) will have their handicap subtracted, resulting in the net score. Pink Ball Scramble – Pink Ball is a game for 4-person teams that puts the onus on one player per hole to come through
for the team. Each group of four players in a scramble has a pink ball that rotates among players. For
example, Player A uses it on the first hole, B on the second, C on the third, D on the fourth, then back to A on the fifth
and so on. The 3 players without the ball will play a scramble. At the conclusion of
the hole, you will add the pink ball score and the team scramble score for the total score. If a team loses
their pink ball during the round, they may continue play, but will be eliminated from winning prizes. Shamble – This event is
for 4-person teams. Each team member will hit a tee shot. The team then selects the
best of the tee shots and then each player plays their own ball from that spot. Best team net score will
win. Chicago – Stroke
play with a twist: each player starts with a negative point score based on their handicap (if your handicap
is above 40, you will be giving up strokes as 40 is the maximum handicap for this format). For example,
a scratch golfer will start with -39, 1-handicap with -38 and so on until a 40-handicap, which will start with -2.
The goal is to earn points for the highest possible score. Points are earned as follows: Bogey – 1 pt.
Par – 2 pts. Birdie – 4 pts. Eagle – 8 pts. Flag Net – Low net with a twist: Each player’s handicap will be added to
the course par (74) for a stroke limit. (i.e.if your handicap is 26, you will be given a 100 stroke limit). Each
player will be given a flag with their name. Players then begin regular stroke play, keeping a running
total of their score. Once they have reached their stroke limit, they must place their flag on that spot
on the course. For example, if your tee shot on 18 is your 100th stroke, you will place your
flag where your ball was on the tee shot. Players who reach their stroke limit before 18 holes are completed
may still finish their round as long as their flag has been placed at the correct location. If a player
still has strokes remaining after 18 holes, they should return to hole 1 and continue playing until all strokes are exhausted.
The winner will be the player whose flag has gone the furthest on the course. Member/Member and Mixed Member/Member – Each is comprised of 2-person teams and include 4 different 9-hole formats over 2 days. Member/member
is 2 males or 2 females playing as a team. The front 9 on day one is a 2-person scramble. The
back 9 is best ball. On day two, the front 9 is combined net while the back 9 is true alternate shot.
Mixed member/member follows the same format, but the teams are made up of 1 male and 1 female. Ladies Classic – Classic 18 hole individual stroke play. Players will be flighted
and tee times will be assigned. |
